High risk patients recovering at home from covid-19 may benefit from having an oxygen saturation monitor. Many people have these at home now already.
Under a scheme called Covid Oximetry@home, your GP will assess whether you may benefit from one. Usually this is people aged 65 or over or those with a clinical vulnerability. If so, and you don’t have one at home, we have a limited supply that we can loan patients in these circumstances for two – three weeks.
We would recommend that, if you can, you buy one for your medicine cupboard as they are very useful anyway – not just in covid-times.
