Health and Wellbeing for you and your children
Patients with young children often tell us how hard it is to prioritise health and wellbeing. The early years are often so busy and can be stressful and then if you add in the current difficulties with rising living costs and coming out of covid, it can be even harder. Often parents with young children prioritise the health and wellbeing of their children and their own needs are forgotten. As well as affecting your physical health, this can also lead to unhappiness and loneliness.
In the Bridgwater area we have set up a new support service to help if you are feeling like this and want to make some changes. Or maybe you are happy with the lifestyle, health and wellbeing of you and your family but are interested in improving this further. Either way, our new service should be able to help.
By supporting or local parents with young children to become happier and healthier, we know there will be a positive long-lasting influence on the life of your children too. We know many lifestyle behaviours like sleep, activity, food, and social connections can make a huge difference to your physical and mental health.
So, we invite you to meet Claire, our NHS Health and Wellbeing Coach who is here to chat to you, understand what changes you would like to make for your or your family and what obstacles are stopping you. Claire can then help you achieve these.
It is an excellent opportunity to experience lots of new activities that will be fun and free for you and your family too. If you want to, there will also be great opportunities for you to meet other Mums and create some new friendships in a calm and welcoming environment.
If you would like to participate in this project and/or want any further information please email our NHS Health and Wellbeing Coach, Claire at CWilliams@sasp.co.uk or telephone her on 07305 049958. You will start with a one to one consultation.
